THE NEW YORK CITY WOMEN'S MARCH MADE A HISTORIC MARK

The Women's March in New York City made a monumental mark. More than 400,000 demonstrators rallied peacefully from the Dag Hammarskjold Plaza to Trump Tower on Fifth Avenue. Whoopi Goldberg, Cynthia Nixon, Helen Mirren, Rosie Perez, Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney, New York City Public Advocate Letitia James and New York City First Lady Chirlane McCray were among the multiple celebrities and dignitaries who joined the Women's March in New York City along with hundreds of thousands of demonstrators. People from all ages, religions and backgrounds rallied together to support women's equality and human rights in solidarity with the Women's March on Washington and Women's Marches across the country and around the world.
