CORAZON AGUIRRECorazon Aguirre is an award-winning photographer and a visual designer based in the heart of New York.
She is driven by her work and motto; "As a photographer and designer, it's my mission to be a visual storyteller. The images I take must provide a clear, authentic record of an event and communicate a meaningful message to the viewer. I must always be in the right place at the right time. It's imperative for me to be ready, keenly responsive, aware of my surroundings, enduring, and waiting for that split-second when that magic moment comes and brings the perfect shot." She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a double major from Savannah College of Art and Design. She holds a Bachelor's degree of Fine Arts (BFA) in Graphic Design and a second BFA in Photography. She is fully bilingual and has an inherent affinity for the work of Irving Penn, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Steve McCurry, and Richard Avedon. Corazon's work has received numerous awards from a host of publications and institutions, including the the Savannah Morning News, Savannah College of Art and Design, The Hispanic Scholarship Fund, The International Honor Society (Phi Theta Kappa), Six Degrees Magazine, Southwestern College, Myriad Fine Arts, the NYPL Tech Connect, The New York Press Association, and the U.S. Department of Defense. |
